Our client is a well-established global organisation with large and impressive offices in Oxford. A new permanent opportunity has arisen in their Finance department for a Senior Financial Analyst.

Reporting into the FP&A Manager, the principle accountabilities are:

  • Planning - 5 Year Plan and Budgets: Managing the Division’s budget and planning process. Work with the senior management team to create sustainable and credible plans from all areas across the Division highlighting any issues with proposed recommendations to the FP&A Manager, so that the department and Group have clear and agreed financial goals.
  • Trading Account and Balance Sheet Management: Monitor and evaluate the Division’s performance with findings, implications and suggested actions communicated to the FP&A Manager. Support the FP&A Manager in the month end and year end process.
  • Business Partner: Act as an effective business partner across the department to provide a comprehensive, professional and effective financial and commercial support service.
  • Reporting: Produce standard and ad-hoc reports so that the Division receives timely and accurate information upon which to base business decisions, recommending or implementing remedial actions where necessary.
  • Business and Market Analysis: Perform ad-hoc business analysis to aid effective decision making.
  • Financial controls: Ensure that processes are in place in order to fulfil the requirements of Group Finance’s representation letter and Best Practice Financial Controls.
  • Projects: Represent the department on cross divisional projects so that the Division’s best interests are expressed.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively as part of the divisional finance team, the departmental Business and also across the wider roup. Maintain good communication with the FP&A Manager raising any issues/problems/time pressures as soon as appropriate.

Candidates that apply should have a background as a Financial Analyst and ideally be part or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA or ACA. You must be Commercially orientated and comfortable working with large amounts of data. Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills are essential.
